hi i wanted to have french manicured nails ready for the school holidays...
but i want to DIY it
does anyone have any tips or websites or pruducts i could use?
thanks xFrench Manicure..................?
I have tried LOADS so believe me when I say for a newbie to them its best to use a pen white applicator.
The applicator is like a felt tip pen which makes application a lot easier than using a brush where you have to get the amount of polish just right to prevent having to start over. You can find them at any big makeup and cosmetic stores.
In the US: Sally Hansen does one
In the UK: you can find it in boots or superdrug
It usually says apply the base colour 1st but don't, apply the white to the tips as you are more likely to make mistakes, THEN add the pink colour over. It makes it look a lot neater too.
Once you've got the technique right its almost effortless. I did my own manicure for prom and people asked where I got it done because they thought it was neat but natural, when I'd actually done it myself! ;)
Good luck and have fun :)French Manicure..................?
There are plenty of french manicure products available, the best i have found are the ones that include small sticky strips that you place on the nail and they act as a marker for the white tip. You just paint the tip over them, wait for the white varnish to dry, and peel off revealing a smooth line. After this you can then paint on the pink/clear varnish for a neat shiny look.
Alternatively for special occasions i have acrylic tips put on, they last up to 4 weeks before you have to have infills done however they can use a 'permanent' white tip so you do not get any chips as such. Be aware that this should not be done regularly as can be damaging for the nail bed. But they look really smart for a special occasion. Only downside is it costs approx 拢30
hi yes i hope you like the kit i hva found for you it is from superdrug.

this is ther review for it
'; All you need to create a perfect French Manicure effortlessly! This kit contains all you need to create a beautiful French Manicure polish from the comfort of your home';
and it is only 拢9.78
always put the white on first and then the pink over it. That way if you make any mistakes it won't show up as much. I also think that the sally hanson manicure sets are the best kit under a tenner and they don't chip for ages. Hope this helps
those are so tackie now don't get one
