Does french manicure or beige nails look more elegant?

And which is sexier?Does french manicure or beige nails look more elegant?
French is definitely better, but if you want it to look sexier you can use a light soft pink for the base instead of the usual clear.

well, it always works for me. :)Does french manicure or beige nails look more elegant?
French, But french Look fake, If your going for that Natural Look you should paint them a light color. But all together French are more sexy.
Definately french. Very classy.
Beige. French manicures look cheap and tacky.

How long does a french manicure last?

i went to a professional today and got a french manicure done (on my real nails, not accrilic nails)...and i was just wondering about how long it should last? How long does a french manicure last?
Depends on if they used a good base coat and top coat, or if it was a gell based paint. It stays on artificial nails longer but it could chip tonight if your not careful. Ive done and seen tons. How long does a french manicure last?
umm around a week my lasted but the more u wash ur hands and so stuff with water the less it will last

my tteacher got it done and she got her husband to do the dishes for like 2 weeks cause he payed for them xD
depends on how much work do you do? with me 3-5 days if i am lucky i am a mother of 3 so just becareful and try not to use your hands too much they should last a good week and a couple of days
About 2 weeks. I just got one done, because my mom is a manicurist :)
two weeks maybe more if you take care of them
if it's just white nailpolish it won't last that long. just be careful with your nails and try not to chip off the polish. you can add a couple clear coats when u get home to protect the paint. if ur careful enough it should last about 2weeks
on your real nails.. mine last a lil over a week and a half maybe 10 days
it depends, if you use or hands a lot it wont last as long, if not then it will last longer. maybe 2 -3 weeks.
It depends on the type of manicure you get and how good your nail tech is.
The French Manicure will last until the Germans show up, then the French Manicure surrenders
2 Weeks =)
They will last forever unless you eat french fries, french toast, and french kiss your french poodle. (all at the same time)

Glad I could help.
It all depends, i got a french manicure on my real nails too but it only lasted like 2 weeks, take care of them!

Want a french manicure or american but need help with something?

How much do you have to pay to get more acrylic on once your actual nails start growing? Do you have to pay the cost of a full set AGAIN? or do you just pay to put the acrylic on if your nails are still in good shape?

Can someone help? I desperately want good looking nails but don't have much money. Would love to be a regular at a nail salon...can anyone give me hints?Want a french manicure or american but need help with something?
once you get a full set of acrylics, you will need to go back to the nail salon once a week or two weeks (depends on how fast your nail grows) and get a re-fill on acrylics. the refill should be no more than half the price of the full set.

honestly, if you want nice looking nails, forget about acrylics. they are terrible for your nails. not to mention if you ever take thm off, your real nails will be paper thin. instead, just get manicures regularly.Want a french manicure or american but need help with something?
Normally they call them fills and they are cheaper than a full set. It all depends on where you go as to what the price is.
You would only have to pay for a fill. I wouldn't get fake nails, you will have to get them filled every two weeks and it starts adding up and becoming quite costly. I get manicures every now and again and do my own nails at home. Orly and Rimmel have nice french/american manicure kits and polishes

  • What is a fast way to get rid of yellow toe nails, only on the big toes, i wanna get a french manicure?

I have been told that if you wear nail polish for long periods of time that it can cause yellowing of the nail.

If you have a nail fungus you can treat it with vicks vapor rub. You have to continually apply it. It's a very slow process and can take months to heal but it's very effective. What is a fast way to get rid of yellow toe nails, only on the big toes, i wanna get a french manicure?

Do you do your own french manicure?

I do my own but i sometimes fek it up totally! I think its coz im a bit impatient, do you have any tips?Do you do your own french manicure?
    take your time?

the easiest French Manicure is using a pastel varnish all over the nail and a nail whitener pen from below. you can#t mess that ;-)

for any other version, you need to take the time to let the layers dry.Do you do your own french manicure?
It does take awhile. I do the tips on one hand first, then let them dry completely. Then do the other hand - it's so easy to scratch/chip the white if you don't let it dry. It doesn't matter if you get white on your fingertips - you can clean it off with a cotton bud dipped in nail polish remover. Sweep over the nail tip with an arc - don't go too slowly or it tends to get uneven.

When the nail is completely dry then do a coat with your sheer pink (or whatever you're using). Same again - let one hand dry, then do the second one. Two coats works well.

I have unsteady hands but with a bit of practise it works out OK now. I've never had luck with the sticky nail guide thingies - just messed up when I took them off.

You'll get there. It's easy to fek it up totally - but it gets easier with time!
I always do mine,i save a lot of money...but you really have to be patient afterwards and let it dry,i often wait 5 minutes and then i can't take it anymore and i have to do something wich results in smudges and i have to re do it again,if you are patient and you have time in front of you to do it,then it's all good!
i do do mine but i can mess it up, my best solution is to get avons french manicure, they have little tips which you stick on your nail, these will stop any excess varnish from getting on the wrong place.

go to Avon.com or get the booklet [you get them through your door]
I have before %26amp; it turned out pretty well. They sell little French Manicure strips/stickers that you put on your nails so you can get a straight line when you're applying the white. I don't think they're too expensive either.
I used to do it myself and I would have more on my hands and fingers then on my nails it self.

Now I just pay to get it done.. only a 拢5.00

I agree I would buy a kit but good luck even with the kit is it is trickyHow do you do an at-home French manicure?
Go to Walmart and buy a french manicure kit. Everything you need is there. So easy.
sally hansen has a great kit, the white polish is a marker type application makes it very easy

and you can get it at wal mart
I have the most success with a 'nail art' white polish. It has a tiny brush, I found mine at Sally's beauty supply store, they have all different colors, but I bought the white and it is so much easier to get a clean look with the art brush. The standard brush head is too big to do it right (at least for me) I would practice on my toes first, to get used to it. Just do it free hand, put the white coat on first, so if you mess up you can clean that one up and move on. Then put a sheer pink top coat on and BE CAREFUL to let every coat dry in between, it takes a while, but it looks good when you are done. Good luck.

Have you ever used the avon french manicure paint?

its that tube that has the off-white-cream color on one half and the clear on the other. how do you do it?! i seriously don't get how to apply it!! lol!Have you ever used the avon french manicure paint?
I tried to apply french manicure for my self like a million times .. but it NEVER worked !!!

Just go to a saloon even if it's expensive.

If you still want to do it yourself .. here's how..

    1) you apply a base coat, maybe a strengthner or sthg.

    2) you apply the pinkish color of the french on your whole nail.

    3) you apply the off-white just on the tip of your nail -this is the hardest part.. i suggest asking for help with this step-

    4) you apply a transparent coat just to give it the shine!

    wish u a nice %26amp; neat french =)

Can a french manicure be done on short nails?

My nails are pretty small n i wanna try out french manicure.........Can a french manicure be done on short nails?
Yes, you can get a french manicure done on even short nails. They will even appear longer than they actually are. You might want to paint the white part a tiny bit more than the actual white part of your nail to make it seem longer. But don't overdo it. Heres a site where you can see although quite long, the french manicure does look longer than the nail painted orange even though they are probably the same length.

Hope this helped :)Can a french manicure be done on short nails?
When you get a french manicure, you can also get the artificial nails, then it doesn't matter if the nails are short or long.. But if you just wanted to get them painted, i would suggest you let your nails grow just a little longer before you go up to get your nails done.. because what they do is trace the white part of your nails
yes, the white part just has to be smaller on the nail.

  • How to do a self-french manicure?

I want to do the french manicure myself, and I need step-by-step answers! How to do a self-french manicure?
Before you start giving your nails a French manicure, make sure you have followed the general rule for putting on nail polish. You should prep your nails first by removing old nail polish with acetone remover. Then go and clean your nails and give them a trim.

Once you are done cleaning and trimming your nails, go ahead and apply a base coat to your nails. Keep this base coat thin and even. Afterwards, put a tip guide to your nail. This is supposed to cover the lower part of your nail as well as follow the curve of your nail tip鈥檚 natural white. When you are done with that, apply white polish to the exposed tips of your fingernails, and then let them dry. Keep the area that you will paint white thin. If you go too widely on the white paint, your nails will look chunky. Also, if you do not feel comfortable with stark white tips, you can use off-white polish instead.

When the white polish on the tips of your fingernails is dry, remove the nail tip guides thoroughly. And then, paint the entire length of your nails with a beige polish. Two coats of this polish may be necessary. After this, put a layer of top coat on your nails. This is the last step; after putting on the top coat, dry your nails and make sure they dry completely.

To extend the life of your French manicure and to keep your nails nice and looking well-groomed, you should make it a point to apply an extra layer of top coat on your nails every night.

For all its seeming simplicity, putting on a French manicure can get really tricky. Most drugstores and beauty shops sell readily-assembled nail polishing kits especially made for the French manicure. If you need extra help, you can find these kits very useful.

If you want to try out the French manicure but you are afraid to do it yourself, you can always visit a nail salon and have your nails done there. French manicure often costs extra than a regular polish because of the degree of accuracy needed for the job. It may be an expense, but it is worth it.How to do a self-french manicure?

a french manicure is where the tips of the nails are rounded, the cuticles are pushed down and trimmed.

the entire nail is then covered with an opaque ivory coloured gloss.

A paris manicure goes one step further and paints the inner tips of the nails white. What is french manicure and i want to purchase it?
French manicure is usually a pink base for the nail with a white tip for the length of the nail we usually cut. It sometimes looks trashy but with a decent length it looks neat.

It's done with normal nail polish, choose a base that would lighten the hands and avoid pinks that darken the joints of the fingers [some have this effect and make your hands look beat up]. Buy some white nail polish and some base coat to prevent yellowing and some topcoat to protect from chipping. If you aren't finicky just buy some clear nail polish.

Doing the white edge is tricky especially if you have an unsteady hand. However, there are usually kits that sell the two colors of polish and some sticker guides so go for that.
a white line right on the nail tip, while the rest is pink

    simple

    any cosmetics shop
It is a very classy and elegant manicure, with the base usually in a nude colour or pink and white tips. The nails are cut horizontally across instead of sharpening them to a point to slay vampires.

You can actually DIY at home using a french manicure kit. Sally Hansen has a cheap and good one, but make sure you have steady hands while painting the white tips across.

I do it myself sometimes when I have the time.

The look is best with shorter nails and not so long nails. Gives a very neat and polished look. =)
That is the type of painting of the nails hookers and porno stars like to wear in my opinion. It's trashy and low class. Try going natural. Nothing beats the real thing.
Any drugstore should have the French Manicure Kit available the the kit will demonstrate how to apply... it's very easy, kinda like a stencil.

Are arcrylic nails with french manicure with black tips cute?

i am getting my nails done for the summer. im getting gel nails and i want to be different and get black tips rather then white does look okat. please be honest!!!Are arcrylic nails with french manicure with black tips cute?
I recently asked someone that question. But, really, it depends on who you are and your style. Some people think it's trashy. Depending on how classy you are. Some girls (like me ) Think it's really cute. And some girls just think it's ugly.Kind of like the whole thing with lipgloss being cute. Really though it kind of just depends on what kind of person you are. If you're super girly, NO. If you're girly and tomboyish,

YES. If you're super safe on style and what you wear, and shy, NO. But, if you think it's cute, go for it. Trying something new never hurt anyone. It could end up being the cutest thing ever. But then again it could end up being something you hate. Just try it.Are arcrylic nails with french manicure with black tips cute?

    5$
I tip 7 for gel acrylics,so 5 is good for french tips.
Well if its $30 to get it done than yeah $5 is plenty.
i always tip five dollars on my fills so you are right on target.
Well, I always tip at least 20%, usually I'll throw in another dollar or two on top of that.
Usually I tip around $5. Sometimes more than or less than that considering on how well a job they did, how they acted, you know?
I tip $5 whether it's one-tone polish or french. That probably sounds bad, but you're already charged extra for the french anyway (generally speaking).
    i leave about $3
five dollars is to much .It only cost 15 dollars normally for a french manicure so 5bucks to much. But hell if you have money to throw away and it makes you feel good i say do it.

I want to try making my own french manicure.. but what items do I need to accomplish this? Any recommendations? What do I need to make my own french manicure/pedicure?
I gave my cousin a french manicure the other day (which I had never tried before). I guessed that I would need white nail polish (made by Colorama), q-tips, and nail polish remover.

I painted along the ends of her nails, and once I finished doing all of them, I poured some nail polish remover in a cup and dipped a q-tip in it to polish them up if they were uneven or if she had polish on her finger.

I really liked the results! What do I need to make my own french manicure/pedicure?
The hand/eye coordination of a neurosurgeon! Don't use those little white sticker things; they always end up pulling off some of the polish when you remove them. My friend used to do her own, and she bought really strong nail polish remover (not sure where, maybe at a beauty supply store), and she would paint the white tip on roughly, and then dip a medium stiffness makeup brush in the strong remover, and straighten out the line of it. Then when that dried, she'd top it all with the nude color. She did it really well. I tried, but mine never looked as good as hers.
It's insanely hard to do it buy yourself, so I would suggest buying a Sally Hansen kit from the drugstore. It has those stickers that makes it a lot easier to draw the line.

Is it too taboo to have long french manicure nails for a man?

I was thinking of going to the salon to get my nails done. I know a lot of people would that that is strange for a man, but I just think long nails would be a fun change and would look nice and pretty. Anyway, Im not sure what to ask them when I get there, any advice? Is it too taboo to have long french manicure nails for a man?
They're your hands... but be prepared for a lot of grief from people. Also consider what you do, long nails are hard to deal with, especially if you are not used to them.

My father-in-law get manicures regularly. He just has them polish his nails and perhaps a clear coat for protection. Is it too taboo to have long french manicure nails for a man?
i work in a hair salon and is a guy who is straight(he say that)he do french pedicure after he go we laugh a lot of him,is nice to a man do manicure or pedicure but french...not is not nice
    yes. for me at least.
Well if you want pretty then you can get away with it ,but no body else could.

Personally it would be kind of gross, I hate the one long nail guitarists often have creepy. You go a head if there are lots of guys doing it in your neighborhood then you will blend in, if not have a strong back bone you will need it. Men and women are different not androgynous just different.

Long nails for a guy?!? That's a little bit on the wierd side of things. Long nails are annoying anyways! Seriously, If I were you, I'd stick to short and easy nails. Especially considering the fact that you are indeed male.
Gross, dirty, and not attractive in any way.

A well manicured hand is fine - but forget the long, french part.
if you are gay...sure go for it...if u are straight...i'm afraid I know of no women who would find this attractive.
WHAT!!!!! YOU MUST BE FROM OUTERSPACE!!!

How do you give your self a french manicure??

A good one.How do you give your self a french manicure??
I buy the white line stickers that you lay across your nail. Then you paint above the sticker in white, then when they dry take the sticker off. I usually get white on my skin or sometimes a little seeps under the sticker, so I dip a Q-tip in nail polish remover to take that off. Then when the white is completely dry I paint the whole nail in either a clear gloss or a tinted gloss. If I use a tinted gloss, then I wait till that dries and then cover the whole nail in a clear gloss, because your nails will look shiny and chip less if you do that. It takes me about 1/2 an hour to do the whole process, but they look like I went to a salon afterwards, I've had people ask where I got them done!!How do you give your self a french manicure??
For Prom my daughter bought hers at Wal-Mart. They turned out OK.
There are kits for this. They come with a stencil to get a uniform white curve on all nails. If you don't get this kit, you'll get lopsided white curves.

Find it at Target or Walmart etc.
Just get some scotch tape and put it across your nail as a tip guide. Paint that part white. Once it dries, take off the tape and apply 2-3 coats of clear polish. Then apply hang lotion.
    White out.
Your best bet is to buy one of those French manicure kits from the beauty supply store.

    1. Trim your nails to the desired shape (round or square). This is the toughest part! It may take a few tries before you get this right,

    2. Apply the nail strip guides from the kit.

    3. Paint the tips with desired color. Let dry.

    4. Remove the nail strip and paint with bottom section with desired color. Pink a sheer color or a clear coat since you'll be painting over the tip.

nearly any store that sells nail polish, you can find french sticker-guides there too. i know wal-mart has them, rite aid, cvs, and walgreens probably sells them as well.

wat is the best way? do u need really long nails?

i saw the rimmel nail polish sets for french manicures are they any good? How do u give ur self a french manicure?
You don't need super-long nails for a French manicure, but they should definitely be a little bit long, because French manicures look stupid on really short nails. I would avoid getting the kits because I've tried them and they always end up looking lame. Here's how the pros do it.

    1) Start off with the white tips. That way if you mess up, you won't have just wasted time putting the basecoat on and everything. Take a white polish, shake it really well, and squeeze as much excess polish off the brush as you can before painting the tips white from about 3/4 of the way up the nail to the very tip. Use vertical strokes instead of horizontal so your brush can follow your nails' natural pattern. Just do one coat, then let it dry thoroughly before putting on another coat if you wish, but I think one coat looks best-less gloppy.

    2) Take an orange stick with cotton wrapped around the skinny tip or a Q-tip and soak it in nail polish remover, making sure to squeeze off all the excess. Run it straight across the point on each nail where you began the white tip (3/4 of the way up) so the lines are straight. Let that dry for a minute before doing anything else.

    3) Take a really sheer nude, beige, or light pink polish (I prefer nude, but lots of people like pink for French nails) and paint your whole nail on each finger just as you would with any other nail polish. Go right over the white tip with the polish, because it is so sheer that the tips will still show through brilliantly. Just make sure you have squeezed all the excess poplish off the brush so it goes on very sheer with no glops. Let that all dry for about 10 min.

    4) Finish with a clear topcoat. Make absolute sure everything else is dry before you put the clear coat on.

Hope this helps!!How do u give ur self a french manicure?
There are a few different ways, depending on the style. But I'll answer your questions first:

    1. There is no best way. Choose whichever way you like doing and that looks nice.

    2. You don't need terribly long nails. The longer, the better it looks, but you can do them with any length. In general, you want the nail that extends beyond your nail bed (and looks white) to be a good length, as that's what will have the white tips, but if they're not especially long you can fake it a little and extend the white onto the nail bed.

    3. Not sure, I've bought a french nail kid just recently but haven't tried yet.

As for the nails themselves, there are a few styles. You can have a pinkish coat on your nailbed and white tips, you can have just white tips, the white tips can be curved or straight across, and you could use entirely different colors (red base with black tips, for instance.)

Painting the tips comes first. A lot of people use stick on guides to they get an even curve; if you're doing straight across, you don't need that. Let them dry and remove the sticker, and then you're done (and add a coat of nail hardener over that to seal it), or you move onto the next step if you want the base pink coat.

To do the base coat, you take your second color and paint in everywhere besides the white. Let that dry, then add the top coat, and you're done.

You can expiriment with colors, patterns, etc until you find a way you really like.
first, buy a fleshy/pink/beige nailpolish, a white nailpolish, and a clear topcoat.

paint your nails normally with the beige one and let them dry. then take the white nailpolish, and try to get rid of the excess drip by wiping against the inside of the bottle. a curve along the tips of your nails is nice, but for a diy job, sometimes i just make a straight swift swoop across the top to make them white and look clean.

it may take a couple of self-manicures to get a steady hand and figure out your own technique.

(also, to make them look extra clean, make sure you file your nails across, push back your cuticles, use a base before applying, and a top coat when it's all done)
    http://www.sallyhansen.com/french_manicu鈥?/a>

Try this, and no your nails don't have to be long. Just make sure to file/clip them the same length. Good luck.
Sephora has a french manicure pen! that is easy to use. Put on a clear base coat, a layer of nude polish and let dry in between each. Then draw the white tip with the pen, let dry. Another coat of nude polish, dry and finally your topcoat. That sounds like a lot, but it is okay as long as you are patient and let each coat dry. I give myself these manicures and people think my nails are artificial because they look so good.
They have kits at walmart and pretty much any of the kits that have the guide stickers work well. I have never tried the rimmel actually, but as long as it has the stickers that you place on your nail to guide you as to where to put the white then you should be fine! I dont think you need very long nails, the french manicure makes your nails look longer anyway!! Good luck and I know they'll turn out beautiful!
I think it involves a white flag and sheep being burned ...
you have to have steady hands.... and if your right handed be able to work good with your left hand when its time to do your right and vice versa... time... no interuptions... a calm environment... no distractions... and practice it takes time to master it.... the first time you do it yourself it looks like a 5 year old painted your nails lol, but over time everyone will ask you where do you get your nails done? Also they sell nail kits in Walmart or CVS that have the stickers you put over your nails to guide you... they may help you better
wat u do is that u go by the nails that u want and then put them on

then u paint yo nails with that manicure
unless you have good steady hands more power to you and do them yourself

unless your like me, go to the salon
first soak ur hands, and then lightly, softly dry them..then use the tool that pushes back cuticles , the cut them all the same height. then use a finger nail file maybe and even out the surface of the nail, then wash them again, gently, and dry...then polish clear, then the french white tip, and one more layer of clear on top of that.

if u really care about ur real nails, dont get acrylic nails put on, they jus leave ur nails brittle, ugly, and thin.
I'm not sure about the rimmel brand of french manicure, however you can buy a french manicure stick...it's white, and use it under the nail in order to give you the white tip, and follow up with a nude polish.
A steady hand, and patients, nose plug

    that stuff smells so bad
There are lots of inexpensive kits available at most drug stores: look for the kits that have guides included and then be sure to wait for the nails to completely dry before removing the guides. I've used those kits (have no idea which brands--but all I've used turned out okay) and the nails looked fabulous. All the best to you!
You just do your nails like an arrogant coward.

How can I make sure the polish doesn't start to wear off after a couple of days? Any suggestions?I got a French manicure today (on my real nails, not fake ones) and I want it to stay looking good for school?
put on a top coat once every other day!

i love french manicuresI got a French manicure today (on my real nails, not fake ones) and I want it to stay looking good for school?
opi works really good put a coat of that on 1 time every single day and it will have ur nails looking amazing for how ever long u want it to
Yup, apply a top coat for sure and stay out of soapy water for sure and don't bump anything. It is really hard to keep a manicure nice if you do any chores.
for a couple of days it should be fine. if you are worried, put some clear coats of top nail polish on it and it will keep it strong. if it does chip, just go for touch ups. it will only cost a couple dollars, or none at all if they are nice.
add a layer of clear nail polish or a top coat every day to maintain it!!
just learn to do a french manicure yourself. its really not that hard. and you can fix it whenever it messes up. i usually do my french tips in 5 minutes or less and itll last for more than a week. or if you want to keep getting it professionally done, get a white nail polish and whenever it chips off just paint over it. use white out if you want.=)
good quality top coat (like OPI) every day.
put a coat of clear polish on yourself. the more coats you put on, the longer it will be on there

    !!!

Do you have to file your nails a certain way when doing a french manicure?

Do you file them so they are curved or squared??Do you have to file your nails a certain way when doing a french manicure?
No, it does not matter which you use. It is totally up to you.Do you have to file your nails a certain way when doing a french manicure?
It doesn't matter with either, but go the same direction, otherwise it's easier for the nail to break/split because you wear down the tip of it. Yeah, you can file them curved of squared, but squared makes them look more fake, and curved makes them just look mad nice.

    Hope I helped!
I don't think it really matters, but I've talked to some manicurists and they've said it's better to file your nails squared.
    actually

the correct or most popular way to do french manicures

is to keep the nail square
The best look is to file the free edge so that it is the same shape as the cuticle area.
usually they're filed squarish with partly rounded corners
Yes. You ave to file them so that they are curved.

  • French manicure - how can I paint neat white lines myself?

I've had my nails done for years at a salon but now I'm pregnant I cant afford to keep going (need to save the money for baby).

Can anyone give me some hints on how to paint the white tips neatly myself?

ThanksFrench manicure - how can I paint neat white lines myself?
    Method:

The tools that you will require for French manicure is as follows: base/top coat, tip guide strips, neutral polish and white polish. Neutral polishes are very pale, sheer shades with a pink, beige or peach cast. Consider French manicure kits that offer everything in one convenient box.

Next step is to file and shape your nails. Tend to your cuticles, then wash and dry your nails completely. Apply the base/top coat and let it dry.

Base coat is applied to protect your nails and to help prevent chipping.

Peel off a guide strip and affix it below the tip of a nail, following its natural curve. The guide will allow you to paint an even white tip with ease and precision. However if you don’t have the guide strips then follow this method. For a square look, paint a straight line across the tips; for a rounded appearance, follow the curve of the nail; and to get a pointed style, paint in from each side to the centre.

Paint each nail tip white, extending the brush stroke from the top of the guide to the end of the nail. Take care not to get any white polish on the body of the nail below the guide. Let the tips dry.

Once the tips are dry remove all the guides. Dissolve leftover adhesive by rubbing it gently with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.

Apply two coats of the neutral polish, letting the first coat dry before the second application. Finish with a thin layer of base/top coat.

    TIPS:

The key to this look is to wait for each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next coat otherwise you are sure to end up with smudges.

If the classic French manicure is a little too conservative for your style, make your own color combination. Instead of neutral and white polishes, red with gold tips or white with silver tips or any combination you like.

Give yourself time to practice. It may take awhile to get the hang of applying the tip guides. However practice will make you perfect.French manicure - how can I paint neat white lines myself?
When I didn't have a lot of money I would use these things that look like little half moons. They were sticky. They are curved.. and you place them a few mm's back from the edge of your nail and use your French White to paint the edge of your nail. The little half moon sticky strips work like when you are taping something up so that the paint doesn't go outside where you want it to go. When you have done that, lift up the strip and you will have a nice crescent at the end of your nail just like when you get them done professionally. If you can't find them for sale - then the only suggestion I can offer if you would like it is that you can buy some white sticker labels and cut them up to the desired shape for your nails which will take a little extra time but should work.
go to a drug store - almost every brand that offers nail polish also offers French Nails kits (consisting of base coat, Nail White and Top coat plus tip stickers).

If you don't want to spend that 5 € for the kit, just buy a refill of the tip stickers ;-)

if you don't want to use those stickers (some are real crap quality), then all I can say is: Practise makes you perfect.

or you ask a friend to help you.
    This is what I do...

I paint a white line as straight as possible on every finger and do a second coat as well. After they dry I dip a Q-tip in some nail polish remover and wipe away any excess of the white and round it out a little to make it straight. After that I go over it with a clear pinkish coat or two. It works great! I comes out so good that I even did it for my wedding day! Hope I helped! Good luck!

Oh... The strip things don't work as well. They don't stick right and you end up having to do the same thing that I described anyway =)
Theres a special kit thing you can get, with strips that you stick on and paint, then when you peel them off, its a perfect manicure. Or even cheaper, use a tiny bit of sellotape. But make sure the base coat is completely dry fist.
use tape, then paint the part you want. ( if you have sqaured nails ) or buy a kit, and all you gotta so is use the strips they give you, theres lots of cheap kits out there that work good .

good luck on the baby :) %26lt;3
Just put tape on your nails, leaving a bit to paint it white. You don't have to be super care full of doing the french tips wrong. When it's dry, pull out the tape, and there you go!

It wouldn't be weird at all. Having a french manicure on your hands is classy. I sometimes like to do that and then have a pinkish color on my toes.
No I think is it weirder to have matching frenchs. Too matchy matchy. I like nails in a nice clean french and toes in super bright funky colours! That is best in my opinion
why would that be weird i do that all the time
no not at all. everyone does that all the time.
both french would look better but there your nails lol=]
    No. That's what I've done
no, i've done it before it looks fine

Black tips on a french manicure?

I am thinking about getting this done. Maybe with like clear polish, and silver glitter. Or just plain black tips. Not sure. I know it is really dramatic. I`m not worried about that. I am worried that people will think it looks gross or something. I don`t care if they think it looks too goth/punk/emo or whatever. i`m not worried about that. anyways i want to know what you think about it. even if i get answers that i don`t like, i might still do it lol but i am curious.Black tips on a french manicure?
i think you should go for it though, what do you have to lose.. who cares what people think really, if they have a nasty opinion of you JUST cause of your nail color selection, then you wouldnt want them in your life anyways..

go for it girl, be bold

i think anything can look good if the person wearing it or doing it has the right attitude.

: )Black tips on a french manicure?
i think they look pretty cool. i've seen people with clear base and then black tips. or clear base and black tips and a thin line where the black meets the clear.
    thats cute
it looks really cute! i do it every two weeks. and its even cuter if you do black tips with silver glitter polish separating the pink[natural] and the black
It's all the same to me. I'd actually go for the manicure that looks like domino tiles like in Fergie's ';Fergelious'; video.
Black tips? Go play in the dirt for a bit. You'll get the same look and at a fraction of the cost.
Sorry, it sounds gross to me!
I was wondering the same thing so if you get it done will you please send me a picture of them?? I saw them in a magazine and fell in love! But I defiantly think that you should do it!
I love it! You should get them white up to the line where the tips start and then get the tips black with a fine line of silver glitter between the two colors at the beginning of the tip line. Do it if you don't like it....repaint them!
I've seen a lady with a black french manicure. It had a pretty looking fancy gold design on it. It looked nice. I say try it: there is nothing wrong with trying something new. Dare to be different.
I've done it a few times for change.Go ahead and try it!Either you like it or you don't.They're your nails not your friends. When I tried it my friends thought it was really cool!
it looks good. you should go ahead and try it
that is so cool. my friend got hot pink with black tips. i lover them.
yea i did mine like that i got french tips and i told the lady to paint the tips plain black with a white flower it looked nice and noone said that it looked goth or punk they liked it well hope this helps

OMG, this is sooo cute! I'm obessed with making the french manicure cooler.

I love it when there is a line of silver or clear glitter seperating the color. Like right underneath it.

Trust me, I live in Japan and it's sooo trendy here!

But don't just stop with black, try purple and perhaps bright pink...something unexpected.

    ROCK IT!
    yuk

    nope

    too goth
I love this. It would look awesome with a silver design starting at the middle of the nail and going towards the black tip. Great choice!
that sounds cool....i'd like to see'em when you get done, I may have that done myself depending on how yours come out. That's a good idea!!

any nail place will do a french, just don't go to a spa or a salon cause it'll be more expensive.

in vancouver, you can get a pedi/mani for 40-45$. French manis are generally around 25$ (they're usually about 5$ more than regular manis)

How long do your nails have to be to get a french manicure?

i have short nails and i do manicure (french) all the time!

just buy the really thin brushes from beauty supply stores they make them with differ. nail polish colors now!How long do your nails have to be to get a french manicure?
If your doing them yourself, then to make it easier, there should be a bit of nail coming over the meat of the finger. As then you can see where you need to apply the white tips for a french manicure.

But if you are going to a manicurist, then any length should be ok, as long as its not too short, as manicurist are trained in doing nails and should be able to deal with any length.

:)How long do your nails have to be to get a french manicure?
Actually they don't have to be any length. It will probably look nicest on medium length nails, but it depends on the shape of your nails too. The longer ur nails the shorter they can be. They paint the white bit on the end and pink on the rest so you won't see where the white on the real nail beneath begins.
I do my own manicures, and it always looks great, no matter what the length, but i'd say the best is medium length nails,
I just wait until my nail are a little bit off of the meat.

Like, I wait until they all have a whitish tip.
    About 26 miles.

How can I give myself my own french manicure that will look good? Please include steps.?

Hello, I am a cosmetologist and lindsay's answer is correct. You can purchase an at-home kit that has instructions or follow her directions. Instead of using the nail stickers, you can use use plain old masking tape, white nail polish, and clear polish.

    1. clean under free edge and shape the nails

    2. wipe each nail with nail polish remover even if you aren't wearing any

    3. put tape on each nail where you want the white to be

    4. paint each nail with the white polish over the tape

    5. wait until the white polish is dry and remove the tape

    6. paint your entire nail with two coats of clear top coat

I hope this helps! How can I give myself my own french manicure that will look good? Please include steps.?
Paint the tip white, then go over it with the peach or pink. If you don't have a steady hand you can buy strips of paper to put over your nail before you paint the tip. Then remove the strips %26amp; paint the pink on. Cover with a clear coat. Most french manicure kits will come with all the polish colors. How can I give myself my own french manicure that will look good? Please include steps.?
I found the best thing to use is masking tape, it conforms around the tip of your nail well.

Go over the tip of your nail with white finger nail polish with a couple of coats.

Take the tape off, and use a q-tip to clean any spots that went over the tap.

Then take either clear, clear pink, or peach color over it.
well first go out and buy a white thin stripe nail polish (the tip is skinny) first put a bottom coat on and the once that drys put the white nail polish on and just put on a little strip since the tip is so skinny and then let that dry and then put a top coat on to give it that shiny look and let it dry and then u r done it works wonderful on me hopes it helps

I am looking for a nail place that does a really good job on french manicure.?

Every place I have been at has not done a good job. Either the tips start turning yellow or the white part stops chipping off after two days or the nail is not sanded smoothly after they fill it in.I am looking for a nail place that does a really good job on french manicure.?
    depending where u live.

How do you do french manicure and what nail stuff should i buy?

How do I do FRENCH MANICURE

    What stuff/polishes should I buy

Where in England should i buy...(remind you only in cambridge, huntingdon or St.ives shops)How do you do french manicure and what nail stuff should i buy?
Sally Hansen is the best IMO

I dont live in England though, so I'm not sure if they have Sally Hansen products...

Sally Hansen has been around forever, and has a great reputation.

They are also pretty cheap and you can find it at any drugstore.

    It works very well!! :-)

They also come in little packages, complete with instructions and guidelines so your nails will come out looking great!!

Good luck!!How do you do french manicure and what nail stuff should i buy?
i dont know the shops over there but i usually use a white pencil top and base coat then a very sheer pink there your perfect french manicure
There's little stickers you can buy that you put on your nails as a guide and you paint the tips of your nails with white polish. Then you go over it with a clear coat. You can buy kits for this but you can get away with just using polish at hand and masking tape if you have any.
why dont you just go to a nail place and get them done? i got mine french manicured at a nail place and the turned out perfect!!!!
    You'll need:

    -White nail polish

    -Clear nail polish

    -Nail file

    -Tape

Start by filing your nails down so that they're all even.

Take a piece of tape, put it along your finger nail so that it's covering up everything BUT the white part, the part where you paint to make the french tips. do that to all your fingers.

After the tape if applied, use the white nail polish and paint the top part of your nail where the tape isn't covering. Repeat with all your fingers.

After this is done LET THEM DRY. After they are COMPLETELY dry, remove the tape and apply a clar coating to all the nails to finish the off.

    (: Hope it helped !
well the other said use a white pencil !!! if you do it will wash off the first time your hands get wet.... then it will NOT be french. use a white polish on the top of the nail, take your brush and create a white line around the edge of the nail allow a few minutes to dry the go over the whole nail with a see through pink. then cover with a clear top coat then you will have a french. p.s. i never use tape

How much does a french manicure and pedicure usually cost?

Where i go all together its about 30 dollars!!!!How much does a french manicure and pedicure usually cost?
30 4 each where i've been at least sometimes more expensive isnt always better my friend went to this real cheapy one and it stayed on way longer than mine

Is it hard to give yourself a French Manicure?

It is so expensive to go to a salon so I was like wondering if it is very much to do it yourself and how much would it cost?Is it hard to give yourself a French Manicure?
No, it's not hard, but be sure to get the kits with the stencils, this makes it much easier to apply the white tip. With practice you'll be a pro. Also, I change the nail color on occasion to mother of pearl or clear pink, or lavender, those colors over the white tips looks awesome. Give yourself a french Pedicure too, and show off you putties.

Cost less than $6Is it hard to give yourself a French Manicure?
it depends on how much the kit cost. in the kit there's usally a base color and white nail polish and some slim tape to give it that french manicure look. First what you do is put the base color on ( its usally pink, light peach, clear colors like that) and then when its dried you put the tape over the near front where you want your white line to stop at and then you color your tip of th nail white and then you discard the tape and wait for it to dry.
I'm right handed so its easy for me to do my left hand but hard to do my right hand. You just have to take your time. They make little sticky things that you put across your nails near the tips and it keeps the white nail polish in a staight, even line at the right place on the nail.
no its not hard you could get a variety of nails at the dollar store including a French manicure but you have to be careful with the glue that comes with it cause if u put the nail in the wrong place it will stay that way. Hope that helps.
The Costs of emery boards, buffers, cuticle scissors, the tool to push the cuticles down before trimming them. The lotion to soften the cuticles, Your hand soap to soak your nails, the polish to paint them when you trim them up.
    Probably 20 bucks.

    And it's not too hard.

Look up on youtube a tutorial for how to give yourself a french manicure.
I think its really hard. You can buy the French manicure set 拢5-10 from Boots. A salon would cost 拢25. Hope I helped. ;)
no..they have a ton of inexpensive kits to do them yourself.. walmart, target or any beauty supply store should have them. :o)
no i do it all the time.

go to wal-mart or a beauty supply store, and they have polish %26amp;%26amp; kits.
ya it's hard with just nail polish but u can buy nail polish pens and that Really helps!!!

Is it safe to use white out to do french manicure?

i REALLY want to do a french manicure by my self but i dont have any white nail polish (please dont say go and buy it) can i use whiteout (the thing you use to clear up a mistake on paper). is it safe and how would i remove it?Is it safe to use white out to do french manicure?
Yes, it's safe, but it won't look good. It will most likely look streaky and chip VERY easily. You'll have to scrape it off with your nails when you want to take it off, most likely.

What is the best way to give yourself a french manicure ?

so im giving myself a french mani, but keep messing up %26amp; i dont have nail tip guides . is there an easier way to do this ?

thanks(:What is the best way to give yourself a french manicure ?
You could use a thin strip of duct tape as a nail tip guide. First put the tape on the tip of your nail. Next, put on the pink-clear nail polish. When that dries, you just have your tips left to do.....does that make sense? Sorry if it doesn't.

Here's a video that's probably more helpful. What is the best way to give yourself a french manicure ?
oh well i use a actual paint pen to do my french tips..It works great and looks just like the nail polish. It is so much easier to handle annnddddd...it stays on longer 2!

Try that.. Go to the craft section in walmart and you will for sure find one.
you can use tape(any), i've tried it and it works. but you have to curve the tape yourself since the tape is after all straight.
Get a piece of tape and put in on your nails, those will be like nail tip gurides. To make it in the naturaal round shape use scissors and try to make it round.

    good luck : ]
Buy a white nail pencil or a paint pencil, use it on the tips and then put clear paint on top for shine!

ugh yea,go have someone do it for you at a little place called a nail salon.............

Where can I get a french manicure?

Ive been wanting to get one for along time but don't know where to buy one. Can you get a kit?Where can I get a french manicure?
dont need to buy one just do it at home! just put the end of a bandaid on ur finger nail, covering everything except the tip then painT the tip white with nail polish.Where can I get a french manicure?
Sally Hansen makes a kit. I believe it comes in two shades: beige and a soft pink. Both kinds of kits include instructions, and the nail polish colors. You can buy the kits at drug stores.
Yes. You can get a french manicure set at Wal Mart or other stores. My personal favorite is the Nailene kit. This is a fake nail kit, so it kind of damages your nails, but it lasts a really long time and looks cute!

Also, there are some Nailene french manicure tip guides, which you can use to paint your nails yourself. Those also work well. You just need white nail polish and some clear nail polish and you are set to go! Just a note: If you end up using this one, make sure the polish is completely dry, or else the polish doesn't stick as well.

    Have fun!
in any nail salon place. kits are no good
Look at Walgreen's or go to a local Manicurist.
you can get it done at a salon but i use tape and white nail polish and a kind of creamy clear nail polish... kits are for losers
u can get a kit at the store cause my girlfriend gets them
The best one is Sally Hansen French Manicure Kit in Sheer Petal. I bought it a while ago and I love it. The kit supplies you with polishes and little self-adhesive strips that make the lines straighter (curved ones for manicures, straight ones for pedicures). It looks really great and I always get asked where I got them done! I love telling people I did them myself!

A cool spin on the french manicure that I love is, if you go to Sally Beauty Supply, they have a line of polishes with a special brush that makes stripes. I got the glitter kind and if my lines come out uneven, I trace them with the glitter striping polish and they look not only straight, but also very chic and professional. And that's not from talent!

    (best part- no damage!)
i woulnt get a kit if you want it to look really good(but if you do they have them at any walgreens or walmart) Id go to a nail salon.

How do you get the perfect at home french manicure?

i want to keep them real, no fake nails. How do you get the perfect at home french manicure?
Buy a French manicure set/kit at Target for about like less than $5.00 I think. It's called like Nearly Nude or something like that. It comes with white and nude-colored nail polish and little small tiny tape that you put on your fingernails at the edge. You just paint on the white, let it dry and peel off the tape. It's really easy. I've done it.

    Here's a picture of it:

    Enjoy!
    Go to France.
well go to the nail place and get them done !lol
I hav 2 older sisters who are qualified beauticians, so im giving u their advice, you should first put nail polish remover on-to stop the polish staining your nails, then put on a base coat, using white nail polish apply a thin white line to the top of your nails and then do you whole nail in whatever colour, even go over the white part to stop it lukin 2 white and unnatural the to make it last longer apply a clear coat of nail varnish,-(one u used as a base coat.) then dip a cotton bud in2 nail varnish remover and go under the nails with it to remove excess white nail polish. DONT use fake nails they wreck ur nails!!!
i just bought this french manicure case in walgreens. so it has these little strips and u put them on ur nails. it helps you divide the white top part and the clear bottom part. and it is for a reat price. Comes with the nail polish. Clear color and White color. REALLY HELPS!!!! made my nails looking perfect. you should try it.
i got my french manicure done at a salon for my birthday, but i loved it so much so after i got this sally hansen french manicure kit and it's awesome! for only like 5 bucks at target!

Other basic information would be good to. YOu go to the nail salon and ask for a french acrylic manicure but, make sure you watch as they do it if it is your first time, you might want ot white line shorter.
Tell them you want, Acrylic nails with french tips! : )

Also, the process depends, but usually about 30 minutes.
just say that you want a white tips full set. it takes 30-40min. and when you want them off go back to the nail place b/c if you take them off yourself you can like make your nails awful.
To be honest, I have the french manicure but it's store bought. I use the Broadway fast french kit for about $4.89 at Walmart and I get a lot of compliments and people asking where I got my nails done...when they find out that I do it myself, they want me to do theirs...haha. they are good for about 2 weeks so if you wanna save a lil money, try doing it yourself. ive never had it done at a salon, so i dont know about that...sorry

my nails grow pretty fast so it shouldnt take long, got any tips on how to keep them from chiping, splitting ect. ?Im grow my nails so i can get them a french manicure, any tips?
Im a beauty therapist, and at the salon we use Orly nail polishes. Now within this range there is a polish called Orly Nail Defence. It has vitamins that your nails need to grow longer, it is also a strengthener. I personally used this on my own nails every other day, and now i have naturally longer, stronger nails.

You could also go sort of once a month for a basic manicure (cuticle tidy, reshape, polish etc). Just to keep them looking tidy whilst growing them.

Sally hensons hard as nails is a good one also. Both polishes can be used as a base and top coat when using a coloured polish.

Just be sure not to get a french pedicure. Yuck !!! It makes toenails look like they are too long and need to be trimmed. Long fingernails = OK

    Nose picking works for me!
File them down as much as you can... then put youe FINGERTIPS in nailpolish remover.

    It always works for me...

    Good Luck 鈾モ櫏

P.S. professionnally done nails stick longer!
cut off the tip with a nail cutter, nd file down the acrylics
If they were done in a salon, soaking in water won't help. I get mine professionally done and I have my hands in dishes, bathwater, swimming pool, lake, etc. They are terribly hard to remove without clipping them back and filing them down. The nails underneath will be very soft and bend back easily so you have to cut them very short.

Once I was on a 2 week wilderness trip and forgot to get my nails filled before I went...they got too long and annoying so I decided to remove them. HAH! I had to use a friend's toenail clippers just to get the tips off and it was still hard. It literally took me days to remove them. And regular nail polish remover doesn't work either...especially if they're gel nails.

If they are just press on nails, you can buy remover that will release them.
If you did it professionally...they will NOT come off that soon. They won't come off until you pull them off.

What I do to take those off, is take a metal nail file, and pry between my real nail and the fake one. Eventually it will loosen up and come off. I will tell you, if you're working with professional nails...it will HURT. And your nails underneath do NOT look pretty afterwards.
Well, if you got them done in a nail salon, it would be best to remove it professionally there (it's so much less pain). If you bought them from a store and applied it yourself, the best way is to soak your fingers in nail polish remover (one at a time is best) until you think it's ready to take the nail off. When it's ready, just take a little stick thing ('stick' kind of sounds horrifying but it's not really what you think) and try to pop it off. it's pretty easy if you know how.
pit bull can get them off in seconds
What I do is I get a small bowl of water and microwave it for about 25 seconds, or until it gets warm. Then, you need to soak your fingers in it for about 10-20 minutes. I know it seems like a long time, but it works 85% of the time.

If it so happens that it doesn't work, you can always cut the white part on the top, and file down the sides, but I'm almost positive that my first idea will work for you.

Also, at some drug stores, you can buy kits for really cheap that help you take them off.

    Good Luck!!!
they are super cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i always by them but 1 day i would like to buy red nails. they are my favorite color.its easy just take the stick and take the end that is broken in half and then just take it put it under the nail and pull it out. also put cream in the nail and then try to take itout. o and next time you put on fake nails dont put a lot of glue put on 1 dot and that it. good luck!

Hello, where am I? You want to get a french manicure online?? I'm confused because you say that you want to know of an inexpensive place online. If you are speaking of directions, you can find a sight that will explain the process for free. BTW, you only paint the nail beds light pink and the tips white. • Tips to make a french manicure last longer?

I don't like acrylics, so to get that same look I've been getting french manicures lately, and it seems my nail polish gets chipped a lot faster then when I get a solid color (my theory was that it's because it's thicker at the tips). What is the best way to remove a full set french manicure at home, without damaging your nails?

Dont remove them. What is the best way to remove a full set french manicure at home, without damaging your nails?
Soak them off with acetone (if they're gel or acrylic) nail polish remover. This will make your nails a little dry %26amp; somewhat brittle so put some type of polish like Sally Hanson Hard As Nails on them to strength them back up.What is the best way to remove a full set french manicure at home, without damaging your nails?
Sometimes acrylic acid helps. It might make your nails weak for a little while though.
Soak them off with fingernail polish remover.
Acetone is the best way to remove them, but I would recommend using a nail hardener nail polish for a few weeks after you remove them. Start by cutting your nails really short and keeping polish on them to keep them hard. Eventually, they will grow normal again and have the strength. Sally Hanson Strong as nails polish is the best (as mentioned in the post above me too)

You can try soaking them in nail polish remover with acetone. It does take awhile but be careful if you start pulling off the artificial nail because you could also remove top layer of your nail.
Try soaking your nails in acetone nail polish remover. It should deteriorate the artificial nails and you can slowly pry them off. This will probably take some time though.

    Good luck!
buy some acetone and soak your nails for like 15-30 minutes and then they should just peel right off. it's what the nail salons do.

What OPI nail polish colors do I need to buy to create a french manicure?

This website has the answer ..... hope it helps!

How do you do your own french manicure?

    Like at home.

    I have white nail polish.

Can you use like tape to keep the line of the nail to make it even etc?

What/how do you do it (if you do)How do you do your own french manicure?
You can try to cut the ends of bandages and stick them to your nails for the precise edgeHow do you do your own french manicure?
If you don't want to buy one of the kits (it comes with special strips that will get you an even line, a pink base color for your nail bed and a white polish for your tips), then you can try and use cloth tape (you can buy it at craft stores) so it won't lift the nail polish.

The easiest would be to buy a kit, like the one from Sally Hansen. It costs around $7 and is worth every penny in the time and effort it will save you.
Buy one of those kits at the drugstore, they have the shape

of the tip where you would paint.

Don't just do it freehand - a lot of the time it looks like ****

because it's easy to mess up.

It's not that expensive to have it done in a store if you're not

    getting fake nails.
you can use a few things...either french manicure tape or you can also use a french manicure marker.. i have one and it works well.btw.. you can by the marker at Walgreen's or any drug store

What is the easiest way to give youself a French Manicure?

Well, they have the stickers you can use to separate where you want the white tip from the rest of the nail (buy at any drugstore)... I started off using thoses but the more I did the french manicure the easier it got.

Now, I just paint on the white tip, let it dry, then clean up any mess with a q-tip that has nail polish remover on it.

Sally Hansen sells several French manicure products- here's the one I have:

Why do girls always stare at my nails when i get a french manicure?

not fake nails. and they're done professionally with the brush and acetone for french manicures. lolWhy do girls always stare at my nails when i get a french manicure?
Because they're pretty. Why do girls always stare at my nails when i get a french manicure?
because they can't believe you have perfect enough nails to do a french manicure without fake nails, you don't see those very often. :))
    because you're a man
    Because they're haters :)

Or maybe because you have such perfect nails like the other person mention . :)
if it is a french manicure on your real nails, they are probably jealous that you have really nice natural nails that can take a french manicure. i get that a lot. i was having my nails done for my brother's wedding and the girl doing my french manicure dragged me around the store showing people my nice nails....she said that people like you and I have the type of nails that most women pay to have theirs look like.
cause they are cute and probably because they dont have them!!!!!

i need to make my nails grow so i can o a french manicure but i need my nails to grow that size in 10 days.HOW!!!!!!How can i make my nails grow to french manicure size in 10 days?
Jello can be found in any grocery store. Mix with water to make gelatin. I would start with a fresh clean manicure and tell the nail tech you want to keep your nails long and strong and ask what she recommends for nail growth.

    Try this little trick. Buy a large quantity of small nail files and some small bottles of hand lotion, a cuticle brush. cuticle or nail oil and as already suggested ';Sally Hansen Diamond Nail Hardener';

Place the small nail files every where you are frequent to be, at work, in every handbag, hobo bag or purse you own, in your car, at home, every room you spend the most time in, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, etc. Along with the hand lotion. As you use the Sally Hansen Growth polish, and your nails start to grow each day, if you feel a snag or rough edge, file (in one direction) the rough edge down, use the hand lotion frequently and use a cuticle stick and push back your cuticles and the cuticle brush to stimulate ne nail growth. Use gloves to garden or other hard tasks. Maybe even to drive or plastic ones to wash dishes. If the Sally Hansen product starts to wear off, replace it.

Eat jello, drink lots of milk and water to flush your body fluids. Use your favourite color polish if you like, but as a suiggestion make usre you start with a clear base coat, then at least two color coats and a top coat. You should notice a difference in a short time. Good luck. How can i make my nails grow to french manicure size in 10 days?
what don't ypu understand what jello or gelatin is or the whole concept of nail files and hand lotion?

buy sallys hanson's hard as nails! it works amazing!!! i got it for $1.94 at target!!! you can get it at the grocery store! and its AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! love it and also drinking lots of milk and you can take vitamins! but it a clear nail polish and works wonderful!!!
Moisturise your cuticles and wear gloves at night in bed after you have moisturised. Jell-o is raw jelly, you can get sugar free!
Don't bite, cut, bend, break, snap, scratch, snag or do anything like that with them...

    Jell-o. Lots of it.
you can try those hand and nail creams that say they are going to take care of your nails.....you can just wait my nails grow long in a week!

French manicure on natural nails vs. French manicure acrylics?

I've been debating on getting a French manicure on my natural nails or if I should get an acrylics French manicure? I'm going on vacation in a couple of weeks and I want the best look for me. I want something that will last but at the same time I don't want any damage to my natural nails. Can I have some opinions on this? Thanks!French manicure on natural nails vs. French manicure acrylics?
I wouldn't do acrylics again, there is no way they won't damage your natural nail, at least for a while, but...... since you're going on vacations for a couple of weeks, is maybe a option, so you don't have to worry at that time for retouching your manicure since the french style is vey easy to peel-off on natural nails, and whenever you comeback remove them inmediatly, on regular basis I do prefer very simple nails, short, clean and with a clear color, easy to keep...French manicure on natural nails vs. French manicure acrylics?
i love my acrylics and i also get a french because when its color you can notice when its growing out even like .00001 inch. acrylics will do damage to yoru nails- especially if you take them off yourself so i wouldnt say it would be worth the damage if you only wanted to have them for like a week or whatever. a nice frech manicure on your natural nails is always classy and cute.
My own nails have never been nice enough to have french manicure put on them...I've only had french manicure acrylics and I love them...they last longer than any paint on my reg. nails.
    natural
anything on acrylics will last longer. but personally, if you have natural healthy nails, I would go with those. acrylics are very damaging.
if you have very nice natural nails, I would do them on those. To me the only point of acrylics is if you have bad natural nails. I always do any fingernail treatment on my own nails.
It depends on your style, I've had both acrylic nails and natural nails, and personally find natural nails look prettier. However, for special occasions, I tend to put on acyrlics. Because you are going on vacation I suggest acrylic nails, only becuase they are a lot easier to keep up with, and they won't chip as easily. When your getting your nails done be sure to ask for the pink and white tips, it so great, no nail polish is used at all, so there is no worrying about chipping.
